Jason woke up early, reflecting on the previous night’s events. He stepped onto the veranda and sat on the saranfee, gazing out into the dim morning. A voice called his name from behind. Startled, he turned, but saw no one. Trying to calm himself, he heard his name again. Fear gripped him as he spun around, still alone. Jason closed his eyes and covered his face with both hands. Suddenly, a touch on his shoulder jolted him. He looked up and saw his dad standing beside him. “What’s wrong, son? Why are you hiding your face?” his dad asked. “I don’t know. Someone is calling me,” Jason replied. His dad nodded, “I know; there’s something.” Mark make him remembered the visitor expected later that evening. Meanwhile, Rozy woke up, saw them on the veranda, refreshed herself, and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. Rozy finished making breakfast and joined Mark and Jason on the veranda. Curious, she asked, “What are you discussing?” Mark replied, “We’re planning a small hunt in the nearby jungle.” Rozy smiled, “It’d be great to catch a sheep for roasting.” They chatted eagerly before heading to breakfast. Jason and his dad went hunting. They trapped a deer but couldn’t find a sheep. They searched high and low, moving side by side through the jungle. After hours of fruitless searching, they returned home with just the deer. Rozy was delighted. “The deer will be tasty when roasted,” she said. Her husband agreed. Jason and his dad skinned the deer and prepared it for roasting. Rozy gathered sticks and made a fire grill infront of their home, then brought chili powder she had prepared earlier. Mark coated the deer with the chili and set it on the grill. Once roasted, they enjoyed a satisfying lunch of deer and bread.
