After some time, Rozy opened her eyes, noticing that Jason was no longer on the sofa. Alarmed, she quickly got up and called out, “Jason! Jason!”From outside, Jason responded, “Mom, I’m here.”She hurried to the veranda and found him sitting on the chair, gazing at the surroundings. Relieved, she asked, “How are you, baby?””I’m fine, Mom,” he replied with a smile.Rozy smiled back and said, “Wait here. I’ll get you some juice,” before heading to the kitchen.Rozy brought a glass of fresh orange juice to Jason. Smiling, she handed it to him, and he happily drank it. Once he finished, Rozy picked up the empty glass and turned toward the kitchen.”Jason, baby, Mom is going to the kitchen to prepare something for lunch,” she said gently. “If you need anything, just call me.” With that, she headed out of the room.On her way to the kitchen, Rozy passed by her bedroom and noticed the door slightly ajar. Peeking inside, she saw Mark lying on the bed, fast asleep. A soft smile spread across her face before she quietly continued on her way.Once in the kitchen, Rozy began planning lunch. She decided to keep it simple and quick-just enough to satisfy everyone without too much effort. After a moment of thought, she settled on preparing garlic butter shrimp pasta. Jason had mentioned earlier that he loved the dish and had specifically requested it, so she wanted to make it for him.The comforting rhythm of cooking soon filled the kitchen as she worked. The aroma of garlic and butter wafted through the air, making her feel content. Once lunch was ready, Rozy covered the dishes to keep them warm and decided to tidy up the living room a bit.She swept the floor, arranged the cushions, and even stepped out to clean the veranda. Evening visitors were expected, and she wanted the house to look presentable. Just as she began sweeping outside, Jason went inside. But when she called him for lunch, he said he will eat later.
