They returned to the group, and Mark addressed them directly. “I need your help for one more night,” he said earnestly. “I’ll cover all the costs, but please… stay and help us.”The group exchanged glances and agreed, their determination solidifying. Before leaving, the exorcist told Mark. “Do not prepare tea or any evening refreshments. Tonight, we must all come fully prepared. Everyone, come ready and vigilant.”The group nodded in agreement, assuring him it wouldn’t be a problem. When everyone had left the house, Mark stepped inside and saw Jason lounging on the sofa with his eyes closed. Nearby, Rozy was seated quietly, watching over him.Mark approached Rozy and said, They’ll all be coming over again this evening, but they specifically mentioned not to prepare tea or any of the usual things.”Rozy nodded, taking in the message, while Jason remained still, lost in his thoughts or perhaps just resting.Rozy waited with Jason as Mark prepared to leave the room. Before heading out, Mark told her he was going to take some rest. “Take care,” he said softly before leaving.Mark walked to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and poured himself a glass of juice. After finishing his drink, he headed to his room, took a quick shower, and lay down on the bed, falling asleep almost instantly.Rozy, feeling equally drained, leaned back against the headboard of the sofa, hoping to rest for a bit without falling asleep. Jason, who had been napping nearby, woke up about half an hour later. Stretching lazily, he got up from the sofa and stepped outside onto the veranda. He sat on the saranfee chair, looking around at the scene before him. The entire area bore the marks of last night’s storm—a heavy rain accompanied by fierce winds. Large trees had been uprooted, and many others were damaged. Despite the destruction, the weather now was calm and beautiful. A gentle breeze accompanied the bright, sunny day, bringing a sense of peace.
